Recipient of numerous awards by presenting Rajasthan's famous Terahtali dance for fifty consecutive years, the dancer Mangibai born in Banila village of Chittorgarh district. At the age of only ten years her child marriage was done in Pali district's Padarla village which is famous for Terahtali dance. She learned all the nuances of the art of Terahtali dance from his brother-in-law Gormdas in this village. This dance was ancestral occupation of their family and community, so Mangibai also adopted this dance as the profession. In the beginning she performed dances in the villages around her village, but in 1954, a day came when she performed for the first time in front of thousand audience in a Gaaduliya Louhar's  conference held ar Chittaurgarh in the presence of Jawaharlal Nehru and enchanted all the audience by her charming choreography.
